Your Vote, Your Voice

This isn’t just another local vote, this is about setting the course for our kids’ education, the future of our neighborhoods, and the strength of our democracy. On November 4, 2025, three seats on the Thompson School District Board of Education are up for election: Director Districts B, E, and F.

These are not symbolic offices, they are the decision-makers who approve budgets, set policies on equity and inclusion, decide on safety and wellness initiatives, and chart how we support students and teachers in the years ahead.

You matter in this election. Here’s what’s on the line:

  • Real Decisions: What bonds or levies get approved, how resources are distributed—your vote affects whether classrooms are well-funded, whether new facilities are built or refurbished, and whether teachers receive the support they need.

  • Educational Equity & Opportunity: Every student deserves a fair shot—regardless of background, native language, identity, or ZIP code. This board controls policies that determine access, resources, and inclusive curricula.

  • Teacher Retention & Support: Teachers are the backbone of our schools. We need leadership that backs them with fair compensation, proper resources, good working conditions, and opportunities for professional growth.

  • Student Safety & Well-being: From discipline policies to mental health support, from bullying prevention to school nutrition—these are foundational to fostering learning environments where students can thrive.
